ANTENNAS PLACEMENT ANALYSIS


EM Infinity provides analysis of antenna placement:

  • Near field
  • Far field installed radiation patterns
  • Mutual coupling
  • Induced voltage
  • Optimization of antenna installation on different platforms, such as vehicles, ships and aircrafts

For antennas placement analysis, we are using ANSYS HFSS and ANSYS SAVANT. The simulation methods which are used:

  1. For small / medium problems (in means of wavelengths) we use accurate numerical methods
    • Finite Element Method (FEM), including domain decomposition method, done in HFSS
    • Method of Moments (MoM), done in HFSS-IE
    • Finite Element Boundary Integral (FEBI) approach, done in HFSS
  1. For large problems we use high frequency approximation methods, such as
    • Physical Optics (PO), for metals and dielectric materials, done in HFSS
    • Shooting and Bouncing Rays (SBR) with simultaneously consistent implementations of Physical Theory of Diffraction (PTD), Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD), and Creeping Waves, done in SAVANT / HFSS SBR+
